Quick start
Follow these steps to go from zero to a running audit.
1. Create an account
Section titled “1. Create an account”- Open the Guardix app (from guardix.io or your team’s link).
- Sign in with GitHub or Google.
- Complete any onboarding prompts — for example, choosing a personal vs team workspace when offered.
2. Connect a repository
Section titled “2. Connect a repository”You can audit:
- Private repositories — install or authorize the GitHub App when prompted so Guardix can clone the code you grant access to.
- Public repositories — often you can start from a public GitHub URL without full org access, depending on product settings.
See Connecting repositories for details.
3. Pick a branch or commit
Section titled “3. Pick a branch or commit”Choose the snapshot you want analyzed — usually a release branch, tag, or a specific commit under review.
4. Start the audit
Section titled “4. Start the audit”Start the audit from the repository or audit screen. You’ll see live progress as stages advance; you can leave the tab and return later.
5. Review findings
Section titled “5. Review findings”When the run completes, open the findings view: severity, confidence, code locations, and evidence. Use Understanding findings for how to read and prioritize items.
6. Share or export
Section titled “6. Share or export”- Share link — generate a read-only link for stakeholders (Sharing audit results).
- Report — download HTML/PDF when available (Downloading reports).
- First audit free is often available for new workspaces — check in-app messaging for current offers.
- For teams, invite members and align on which workspace owns which repos (Working with teams).
